Social Responsibility Policy
To assist bookmakers with their applications for operating licences from the Gambling Commission, we have approved an FRB prototype social responsibility policy (click on the link above to download a copy). It should be noted that bookmakers should not just state on their application forms that they have “adopted the FRB policy”. It should be used as background knowledge and a platform from which they can develop a more comprehensive policy than they would otherwise have had. It is the personalisation of the policy that is the key because this then indicates to the licensing staff at the Gambling Commission that the bookmaker concerned has taken ownership of social responsibility issues and adopted sensible social responsibility measures that are practical and meaningful to him/her.
